In 1981, Walter Day opened Twin Galaxies in the city. This was the first effort at recording world record holders of video game scores. Now Ottumwa aims to open a video game hall of fame.

Billy Mitchell known for getting a perfect score in Pacman and a world record holder in several games showed his support by stopping by.

The first display piece would be Mitchell’s Donkey Kong game which holds his world record. The hall of fame is for both old games as well as the newest ones.
