Finding Xbox 360 Game Instructions

One of the age old problems with buying your games used is that when you get them home and pop the case open, often times you might be missing extras – things like the bonus disc, or the instruction manuals. Those little manuals, while often times ignored, can be very important for your children or if you’re a collector. You might not even have bought the game used. Maybe you just lost the instructions or lent the game out and didn’t get them back. The hows and whys are unimportant; what is important is where you go to get those instructions replaced.
Game Producer

The first thing you can do is to write to the game producer. Often times, especially with massive producers like EA, companies will have stocks and reserves of game instructions that they readily hand out as press material and replacements. If you find the contact information for the producer of your game, you might likely find an address or email address that will allow you to request a new copy of those missing instructions. This is your best bet if you’re a collector and only need that glorious set of instructions. It might take up to 6-10 weeks to get your request processed and by then, if you need them to play the game, you’re entirely out of luck.
GameSegment.co.uk

While they don’t offer fully featured scanned-in copies of your instruction manuals, Gamesegment.com does offer a wide array of nearly all of your Xbox 360’s game instructions in basic format, with controls, and occasionally some extra supplementary information. Another website that offers full downloads of a limited number Xbox 360 Game Manuals is ReplacementDocs.com. For the games they do have, they have full features scans of your manuals in PDF format for your perusal, including replacement manuals for your Core and Premium Consoles.

It’s a long address, but from Xbox’s website, you can find exact PDF recreations of your Xbox 360’s console instructions for free. The best part about the Xbox website is that you can find nearly every product Microsoft makes for their console here with its corresponding manual for download. And honestly, this is information you’re much more likely to need than a game manual. Any number of these links though will help you to quickly and easily set up your console, troubleshoot that weird beeping sound, or reset your hard drive to factory stock (for whatever reason you might want to do that).

Game Instructions are one of those things we don’t think about until we need them. You might never look inside a booklet for a game, but the second it is missing, you’ll need to. For those times, there are these websites among many others that will help you find the information you’re looking for to get you through your game. If you truly need a copy for collection’s sake, or just to sell and not lose those few dollars that lacking instructions loses, you can likely get a replacement from your Xbox 360 game’s publisher.
